What can I expect at the Art Jam?

We usually sit around, chatter, and soak up the creative vibes. You can work on your own art in parallel with others, collaborate on something together, or make gift art for other attendees! I aim to make this a welcoming group for people of all experience levels to be creative together.You're welcome to work on any kind of creative endeavour that you can transport to the location. In the past we've had sketchbook drawing, digital art, painting, 3D modelling, sewing, patterning, photo editing, crochet, painting,miniature painting, game creation, writing, chainmail, and more!Bring your own materials if possible! We will have some basics like pencils, paper, and markers to share. Bring a sketchbook and character reference sheet if you'd like to trade sketchbooks with other artists.We alternate between meeting in public and private spaces. Location details are available on the telegram channel, mailing list, and each events respective Partiful page.

Rules + Guidelines

1. This group is 18+ ! Adult topics may come up.*Note that despite being for adults only, this is not a space for heavy PDA, flirting, or making out.2. Bigotry or harassment will not be tolerated.3. If you're experiencing symptoms of something potentially contagious, please stay home! Masks aren’t required, but feel free to mask to your comfort level <34. You do not need to censor your art if it contains adult content but be tasteful about it when meeting in a public space, and respect others comfort levels for viewing.5. Be respectful of our venue and each other. Respect the comfort and boundaries of people around you, especially around sensitive topics.Please move on from a topic if someone asks you to!Likewise, if someone or some topic is making you uncomfortable, you have my blessing to let that person know directly. (If you feel safe to do so!) If you don't feel safe or comfortable telling them directly, please let a host know.*Rules about adult content are subject to change based on venue.

We have a Telegram announcement channel and an email mailing list.Event invites are sent on Partiful. If you have RSVP'd to one event on Partiful, you will receive all future event invites via text! (Message the event host if you'd like to stop receiving these invites)The Telegram social chat for the art jam is invite-only, please message the event host or ask IRL if you would like to be added to it.
